Dr. Ranjini Krishna, General Practitioner

MBBS, FRACGP, Diploma in Child Health

 

With over 20 years experience, Dr. Krishna is a skilled General Practitioner and the founder of Aiya Medical Centre. She has benefited from working in SriLanka and Oman prior to moving to Australia. She has worked in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Concord Hospital and Ryde Hospital prior to progressing to General Practice. Her special interests include Paediatrics and Women's health, while continuing to maintain a high standard of care for all age groups. Outside of work, Ranjini maintains an active lifestyle as an avid swimmer and the mother of two.

Dr. Sittampalam Ragavan (Raga), General Practitioner

MBBS, FRACGP, FACRRM, MPraxMed (Medunsa), DTM&H(Wits), DipPEC(SA), DHSM(Wits), DPH (Wits)

 

Having graduated from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka in 1983, Dr. Ragavan worked in Zambia and South Africa focusing on Academic Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He moved to Australia in 2000 and progressed into the role of Director of Emergency Department at Broken Hill Base Hospital. In 2003, Dr. Ragavan transitioned fulltime into General Practice in Canberra, leading to his move to Sydney in 2012 to join the team at Aiya Medical Centre. A wealth of experience and knowledge, he still finds time to play competitive and social cricket in between work and family.

Dr. Shanthini Tambimuttu, General Practitioner

MBBS, FRACGP

 

Dr. Tambimuttu has worked as a General Practitioner for over 20 years, with a keen interest in Dermatology, Women’s health and Paediatrics. She has worked at both Westmead and Auburn hospital prior to moving into General Practice and has a vast experience in all aspects of medicine

Kaylah Natasha Apps, Registered Nurse

Bachelor of Nursing

 

Kaylah Apps graduated from the Australia Catholic University, and gained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Nursing. She joined AIYA medical centre in 2022. She has long standing relationships with her patients, and enjoys being a part of their evolving health needs. Kaylah is interested in all aspects of General practice including wound management, immunisations including Paediatric vaccines, chronic disease management, mental health and Children’s health. She has had placements working in St Vincent’s hospital cardiothoracic unit, Westmead hospital, and Concord hospital.

Home Visits

Home and Nursing home visits are available for regular patients of this practice whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. Patients should contact reception staff for arranging these visits.

Fees and Billing Information

The doctors at this practice bulk bill all patients with Medicare and Veteran Affairs. If you do not have a Medicare card, please discuss the fees with our reception staff. Fees are payable at the time of consultation via EFTPOS or cash. The AMA Fee structure forms the basis of our billing policy and is displayed in the reception area of the practice. If you have any difficulty in paying our fees, please discuss this with us.

Privacy and Medical Records

The Surgery is fully computerised.

 

• All medical records are stored in a dedicated computer on site at the surgery.

 

• Access to the records on site is strictly controlled and requires password(s) and authorisation by the doctors at the Surgery

 

• No records are allowed to leave the surgery in any form without the patient’s consent

 

Reminder Systems

 

Our practice is committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included in our reminder system. We may provide you with a reminder notice (Telephone call ) from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care, such as a cholesterol check. Please inform your doctor or the receptionist if you do not wish to be part of this system.
